Additional Yaz and Yasmin Lawsuits Consolidated

New Jersey is the latest state to consolidate Yaz and Yasmin lawsuits as a mass tort. The measure was ordered on February 18 by New Jersey’s Administrative Office of the Courts and the lawsuits have been assigned to Judge Brian R. Martinotti in Bergen County Superior Court.

Trader Joe’s Expands Granola Bar Recall

Trader Joe’s Co., located in Monrovia, California, previously recalled select lot codes of its 7.4-ounce boxes of Chocolate Chip Chewy Coated Granola Bars because the product could be tainted with the dangerous, sometimes deadly Salmonella pathogen. GaxoSmithKline Defends Avandia

Not surprisingly, GlaxoSmithKline is defending its popular diabetes drug, Avandia, following a Senate Finance Committe report accusing the company of  minimizing  Avandia’s heart risks. Possible E. coli in Jackie’s Jersey Milk

Jackie’s Jersey Milk is recalling their raw milk because it is potentially contaminated with dangerous, sometimes deadly E. coli bacteria. According to the company, routine sampling by the Washington State Agriculture Department revealed E. coli contamination, reported the Seattle Times. To date, no illnesses have been linked to the recalled raw milk.
